2 Handfuls Of Cashews Is The Therapeutic Equivalent Of A Prescription Dose Of Prozac

I love cashews! They make a great addition to a healthy diet by fitting into any meal or snack. Packed with lots of vitamins, minerals and healthy fat, they tote health benefits galore!
One particular benefit of cashews getting more attention lately is Niacin (B-3) and tryptophan. Just 2 handfuls of these delicious nuts can increase your mood – ½ cup may even bring about the same results as 1 dose of Prozac.

Minor Side Effects To Prozac Include:
- Cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing and sore throat
- Drowsiness, dizziness and feeling nervous
- Flu like symptoms like mild nausea, upset stomach and constipation
- Changes in weight and increased appetite
- Sleeping issues like not being able to fall asleep or stay asleep
- Problems with sex drive
- Difficulty having an orgasm and impotence
- Dry mouth
More Serious Side Effects Include:
- Very stiff muscles

You may also experience a headache, have trouble concentrating, experience memory problems, confusion, hallucinations, fainting, seizures, shallow breathing or breathing that stops.
You may also have a severe skin reaction, fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain, followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling.
A More Natural Approach
For those looking to take a more healthy approach to depression or who react adversely to Prozac, cashews come in a variety of forms and are easy to add to your diet.
Add cashews to your hot meal right at the end of cooking for a nutty flavor and extra texture. Use cashew milk instead of dairy milk in oatmeal or cold cereals, spread cashew butter on a rice cake for a quick snack or have cashew cheese with a whole grain cracker topped with a couple of blueberries.
Cashews are good for your heart, can help with diabetes, are copper for antioxidants, increase energy and are good for bone and blood vessels. They can also help prevent gallstones and increase your daily dose of healthy fat. Eating nuts can even help LOWER the risk of weight gain.
