15 Reasons to Care About Joint Health
POSTED ON October 9, 2019 BY Kat Gal
You care about your heart. You pay extra attention to having glowing skin. You take daily probiotics for your gut. You even do regular liver cleanses. So, what’s missing? Your joints! You need to take care of your joint health.
From the old to the young, we can all be doing a bit more to make sure our joints stay strong for years to come. Let’s look at 15 reasons why you need to care about your joints, then learn some tips on how to protect your joint health naturally.
1. You Are Not a Puzzle

Your joints help to connect your back, legs, arms, fingers, toes, and other body parts. Without your joints you may fall apart and become a puzzle that hasn’t been assembled yet. Okay, all jokes aside, healthy joints help your body parts to stay connected yet enable you to move.
2. You Love to Be Free
Your joints allow your legs, arms, fingers, toes, and other parts of your body to move freely. You are not a Barbie doll that needs to be moved by someone. You are a free human being that wants to move, run, dance, hike, bike, swim, and enjoy life. Joint health is so important for you to do that.
3. You Are Want to Feel Like a Kid Again
You know how kids run around freely and carelessly? They jump into puddles, hang off of trees, and play jumping jacks all day long. If they are not playing video games. But even then, their fingers are moving at thousand miles per hour. You may not be a kid anymore. But joint health allows you to feel like one. Feeling achy as you age is a myth. You may experience joint health for a long time yet. Go jump in some puddles, please!
4. You Want to Play with Your Kids
Having a child or hanging out with a child of a friend or a family member is the best excuse to act like a kid again. You can rekindle your childhood games and discover new ones. Joint health can allow you to chase the kids in your life and keep up with them.
5. You Want to Reduce Aging
Sure, we all age. There will be a new candle on your birthday cake each year. Aging is inevitable, but pains and aches don’t have to be part of this process. When you take care of your body, you may be able to slow down signs of aging and feel like twenty even in your fifties as far as your joint health is concerned.
6. You Love Nature

Time in nature is the best way to connect with the world around you. Going for a hike for some beautiful views and hugging some beautiful trees is relaxing and may hold some important mental health benefits. Guess what? Joint health is so important for you to fully enjoy your nature hikes without nagging pains and having to limit yourself.
7. You Want to Save Money
Let’s be honest, healthcare is unfortunately expensive in the United States. Even if you have a good insurance, you may have additional costs and may want to visit alternative practitioners or specialist out-of-network that are not covered. Poor joint health may result in endless physical therapy, chiropractic care, pain management, and possible surgeries. This is why prevention is so important!
8. You Want to Say No to Medication
Let me start by this: sometimes medication is important and can save lives. However, medications, in particularly pain-killers are often over-prescribed in the US. They may have uncomfortable side-effects and a toxic impact on your body resulting in inflammation, more pain, and more health issues. Not to mention that they cost a lot. Taking care of your joint health may allow you to live not only pain-free but medication-free.
9. You Want to Save Time
Taking care of joint health problems may not only be costly but may be time-consuming too. Endless hours at the doctor’s office, regular chiropractic visits, long physical therapy treatments, and so on. You could spend that time focusing on your family, friends, hobbies, job, and school work. Reclaim your joint health to get some precious time back.
10. You Want to Make an Impact
You can certainly make a real impact on the world while experiencing joint pain or while laying on your couch. But imagine how much you could do if pains and aches didn’t weigh you down? This is why joint health is so important: to help you make an impact without worrying about joint pain holding you back.
11. You Love Your Family and Friends

While joint pain cannot lower the love you feel for your family and friends, it can certainly limit the activities you can participate in. You may end up sitting out outdoor games or cancel plans when the pain is too much. If they love you, they will understand. But what if you didn’t have to sit out activities or cancel plans? Taking care of your joint health may help you to participate fully in family and social events.
12. Your Body Is a Temple
Cliches are cliches for a reason. Your body is precious. Without your body, you have no place to live. Treat it like it. Taking care of your joint health is a way to show the deserved love and respect for the beautiful body you’ve been given.
13. You Want to Feel Strong
Your joints allow your body to move freely. Whether you want to lift heavy weights, do some pilates exercises, carry heavy bags of groceries filled with whole foods, work in your garden, or lift your kids without effort, you need body strength. To be and feel strong or to develop body strength, you need joint health on your side.
14. You Want to Have Some Fun in Bed
If you are an adult, you may want to enjoy some bedroom action for a long time yet. Feeling overwhelmed by pain may lower your desires, while feeling healthy and energetic may increase it. And joint health may help you to move and bend…if you know what I mean…
15. You Love Yourself
Seriously! There is no better reason to care about your joint health is self-love. Love yourself enough to care about and care for your body and protect your joint health. You deserve it!
