Why Everyone Needs To Practice Gratitude (+Top 15 Thankfulness Quotes)
Written by: Kat Gal
The internet is flooded with recipes of pumpkin pies, mashed potatoes, turkeys (and vegan tofurkeys), green beans and other goodies. But let’s not forget what this holiday really is about (besides food).
Thanksgiving is about giving THANKS. It is about gratitude, thankfulness and deep appreciation.
Gratitude doesn’t only bring us closer together, creating peace and harmony, but also has wonderful benefits on a personal level in our physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Gratitude:
- Improves your psychological health
- Promote good sleep
- Creates better relationships with others, as well as with yourself
- Increases empathy
- Reduces aggression
- Improves your self-esteem
- Improves your physical health
Gratitude should not be a practice only for Thanksgiving, but also be a part of your daily routine.
When you wake up, take a moment to say gratitude for a new day and for being alive. Be thankful for your loved ones and for your wonderful experiences. At the end of the day, write down 3 new things you are grateful for. Tell people you love them and how grateful you are for them. Take a moment of silence several times a day to say gratitude for each experience and person that enters your life. If you haven’t been practicing gratitude daily, Thanksgiving is the perfect time to start.
To inspire you and to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, I wanted to share with you my 15 favorite quotes about gratitude. Thank you for being you, I appreciate you.
