What you eat plays a major part in losing weight and becoming healthier. And what many people may not know is that different food that you eat works in your body in different ways. Some foods can help keep hunger away for longer while some can actually help speed up your metabolism.

We’ve been told different things over the past few years about eggs. “Don’t eat them; they’re loaded with bad cholesterol,” “Eat them; but not the yolk.” So which is it?
While eggs do contain cholesterol, they do not have any negative effects on your cholesterol and the do not cause heart attacks. In fact, eggs are one of the healthiest things you can eat if you’re trying to lose weight. They’re high in protein and contain healthy fats, both of which can make you feel fuller for longer.
They’re high in calories and carbohydrates that can help you feel full for a longer amount of time. Grapefruit also contains a compound that can help lower insulin levels, which leads to weight loss. However, take note that there are some medications that grapefruit will interact with.
Cucumbers are 95% water, which make them a low-calorie food that also help to flush out your system. Since they contain so much water, they help to you feel full for longer and also help keep you hydrated.
Salmon is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids that can help reduce inflammation in your body. Inflammation can play a role in metabolic disease and obesity. Salmon is also very satisfying and can help keep you feeling full for hours after eating it. It also contains a lot of nutrients that your body needs to function properly.
Beans are full of protein and fiber, which can keep you feeling full. This also includes legumes and lentils, kidney beans and black beans. Try eating beans with your meals at least three times per week and you will see a difference in how much you eat.
