Lemons are a wonderful fruit that contains healthy vitamins, nutrients and citric acids. These ingredients have been long known to assist in the basic functions and health of the body.

Lemon helps with providing the body with antioxidants, vitamin C, assisting with healthy blood flow and aids in the final elimination of harmful and waste materials by excreting it through the kidneys and urinary system.

Kidney Flow And Detox Health

Water and the healthy flow of water throughout the body is key for good health. Not only do all of your body systems need water, but your blood vessels carry the food, nutrients and hormonal instructions your cells need to function well and work together as a team.

Vitamin C is used for creating healthy connective tissue, including bones, blood vessels, and skin. The healthy blood vessels are key for the flow of all nutrients, oxygen and the ability for the body to detox. [4]

The lemon contains a type of antioxidant called a bioflavonoid, which helps cells divide properly and protect the DNA in a unique way different from other antioxidants.  

The lemon has also been used in boosting the immune system and providing an antibiotic effect for the bodies natural defenses. [7] Since it is high in vitamin C, it can assist with scurvy and help with keeping the body strong against illnesses such as the flu, the common cold, ringing in the ears (also known as tinnitus), meniere’s disease and kidney stones.

Anti-Inflammatory

Lemon also assists the body with inflammation. Through its assistance with fluid balance in the whole body, its ingredients help the body pull excess fluids out of swollen joints and muscles, returning them to a normal and balanced form. The lemon also assists with reducing pain.
