What It Means To Have Self Integrity

“The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home.” -Confucius

One of the biggest things that transformed my life 6 years ago happened when I was sitting with one of my mentors. As I sat across from this man that I really looked up to, he told me that the biggest thing that would change my life was my integrity.

Integrity with myself.

Integrity with my word.

Integrity with my commitments.

Integrity with how I showed up and in my ways of being.

At the time, I was a salesman. I was always promoting this or that, trying to sell people stuff. I had these grandiose ideas and said a lot of things, but I rarely followed through on my words and my commitments to myself and my peers. This disconnect between my words and my actions caused a lot of turmoil and disconnection in my life.

Ask Yourself: Am I Committed To My Integrity?

“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.” -Unknown

Have you experienced something like that before? A lack of integrity and a resulting disconnect in your life? Maybe you are experiencing it now. If so, today is the start of the rest of your life and today is YOUR day for change.

Today, you get to choose INTEGRITY.

There’s a popular time of year that everyone sets intentions they rarely keep… January 1st! Maybe this past January you told yourself you were going to go to the gym every day or eat a better diet or this or that… but for some reason, it never happened.

So why do we let ourselves down? Why do we break our word to ourselves? Why do we have such a struggle with self integrity?

Self-integrity is a muscle. It’s something that you get to work on every single day. You can’t just say one day that you will have integrity and then never think about it again… it’s a muscle that has to be worked, practiced and focused on regularly.

I want you to think about the goals you’ve set that you haven’t reached because of a lack of self integrity. Maybe they were weight loss goals, relationship goals, income goals, etc. Where have you let yourself down?

There was a powerful study done on self integrity. It found that when participants who were at their full income capacity started maintaining self integrity, they were able to increase their income by up to 400%.

How would you like 4 times the amount of income in your life than you currently have?

3 Ways To Practice Self Integrity

“Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.” -Proverbs

#1. Establish A Proper Morning Ritual

Set up a regular morning routine that sets the intention for integrity throughout the day. You can see what my morning routine is here: My 7 Step Morning Ritual.

#2. Spend 10-15 Minutes Weekly Thinking Through All Your Commitments

What have you committed to do and how is your progress? Make sure to cross things off the list that you have completed. If you have old commitments you still haven’t finished yet, make it a priority to finish them and free up your energy for current commitments.

#3. Clarify Your WHY

You need a WHY that makes you cry. You need a vision that is bigger than yourself. When you have that, you can check in with it consistently and be energized by its power. Make it so over-empowering that you cannot help but follow through with your commitments and your word.

Once you make a commitment to your word, it will absolutely change your life. The things you worry about today will no longer be an issue tomorrow.

Remember, we’re in this together.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
