Your hair forms a major part of your appearance and it does matter a lot. Many women like to make sure that their hair is always smooth and shiny. Even small changes like rough texture or limpness can drastically change your looks.

With the chemicals and pollutants in the air around us, our hair is seldom like we want it to be. Instead, it’s damaged and limp with split ends that don’t look pleasing at all. For many others, rapid hair loss causes a problem with hair falling out almost everywhere they go.

So, how do you get that shiny and healthy hair?

Although many shampoos and serums claim to enhance the health and beauty of your hair, they often contain toxic chemicals which are damaging to your hair in the long run. Instead, you need to try the healthier options like natural essential oils, which nourish your hair from the inside out.

The Best Essential Oils For Your Hair

Tea Tree Oil

This famous oil has a number of useful properties. It has amazing benefits that enhance your scalp’s health because it contains anti-fungal and anti-dandruff qualities. Studies suggest that it reduces dandruff by roughly 40%. Less dandruff means less grease and itchiness, giving your hair a healthy lift and glow.

Also, its ability to remove dandruff improves the scalp environment, soothes the skin and helps calm down any inflammation, all of which strengthen the roots of the hair, giving you strong and healthy hair to flaunt!

Ylang Ylang Oil

This oil is just as interesting as it sounds. It isn’t normally used alone as it is very strong, however, combined with other essential oils it can work wonders. In the ancient years, it was used to increase the growth of hair, particularly in women who had thin hair. The oil works into the roots of the hair and not only increases the length of your tresses, but also increase their thickness and volume, helping you get that full and healthy look that you always wished for.

Cedarwood Oil

Another great choice to increase the growth of your hair is cedar wood oil. It has a masculine scent and nourishing properties that target the hair follicles. These are the cells that ultimately form the hair, so stimulating them at this level results in rapid growth. Even the follicles that have stopped forming hair are stimulated so that the amount of hair increases, adding lots of volume.

Lemon Oil

Having good circulation is necessary for the delivery of nutrients and removal of toxins. Your scalp needs good circulation for optimum hair production and maintenance as well. However, you need to be cautious, because lemon oil can cause phototoxicity, which is damaging. Try using the oil at night, or wash off with shampoo shortly after you apply it. This will help you to claim the benefits of the oil while also avoiding the phototoxicity.

How To Use Essential Oils For Your Hair

  • Add a couple of drops of oil to your regular shampoo and conditioner and wash your hair as normal.
  • Dilute oil in aloe vera and add to a spray bottle and mix together. Use this as a spray to mist on your hair. You won’t need to rinse your hair afterwards, but be sure to avoid using any citrus oils before going out in the sun.
  • Dilute oil in a carrier oil such as jojoba oil and use as a leave-in conditioning treatment. Leave it in your hair for an hour or even overnight and then wash your hair.

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
