Vitamin E: T3 Champion Extraordinaire

By Sarah Lawrence

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that plays a role in heart health and proper immune function. E is also considered a free radical fighter.

Free radicals act to accelerate cell aging and, in many cases, damage cells so much that their functioning is changed or impaired. On the thyroid stage, Vitamin E partners with Selenium as part of the deiodinase enzyme mechanism that converts T4 (inactive thyroid hormone) into T3 (active thyroid hormone). Poor conversion starts a cascade of problems, ranging from circulation and cardiac issues to thyroid, adrenal and pituitary malfunction.

So, ensuring that you have enough Vitamin E onboard is a good idea, not only because it’s protective, but also because it’s preventative.

The richest sources of Vitamin E are found in sunflower seeds, greens, asparagus, peppers, tomatoes, avocados, nuts, olive oil, cranberries, raspberries, green beans and leeks. The 400-800 IU that thyroid experts say that you need daily may be challenging to get from dietary sources alone, however, you can meet your RDA of 30 IU by blending up a Cream-E Smoothie.

Check out this website for a complete list of foods that offer Vitamin E. Incorporating healthy whole foods at every meal gives your body the best chance for balanced health and overall wellness.

  • ¼ cup shelled sunflower seeds

Make use of this information to hype up your very own detoxification! Start now!

The detoxification process can also take in the form of a juice fast.  Here at FitLife.TV, we recommend people to try the Alpha Reset (AR)The Alpha Reset is a 5 Day Juice Fast. It is part of the Juice with Drew System. This is the first step in your detoxification process. If you are just starting out with juicing, do not jump right into a juice fast right away. Just try 1 juice per day along with the rest of your nutrition and see how your body responds. If your body responds well to juicing, then ramp up the number of juices per day. These healthy, nutrient-dense juices can replace that coffee you reach for in the morning or that soda in the afternoon. Here are some of our followers that have tried the Alpha Reset!

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
