It’s Monday morning… AGAIN.

Perhaps you hit the snooze button one too many times and are now frantically rushing about to get yourself together. It happens to all of us!

When you are in a big hurry and don’t have the time to “do it all,” use this quick and easy Homemade Dry Shampoo to freshen up your hair!

WHAT Is Dry Shampoo?

  • History: It was produced during the early 1940’s and was marketed as a product that:
    • You can use while sick in bed
    • Is a great ally for “surprise dates”
    • Is safe for kids because no soap will get in their eyes
  • How It Works: Dry shampoo soaks up excess oil that makes you hair look greasy. It helps lift the roots and provides a matte finish (versus a greasy and shiny look).

WHY Use Dry Shampoo?

  • You can take it with you anywhere you go – it is very convenient when you are on-the-go!
  • Loaded with benefit-rich essential oils like peppermint and lavender oil:
  • Lavender oil: Antimicrobial and antioxidant characteristics.
        • Has been used for medicinal purposes for over 2,500 years.
      • A powerful antiseptic, which can help remove dandruff.
  • Works great for: EVERYONE!
  • Men, women and kids.
  • Athletes – store a pouch in your gym bag.
  • Parents – keep a bit in your car when you are running around to help freshen up the kids after they have been playing.

How To Make Homemade Dry Shampoo

This version is much healthier than the store bought varieties, because it uses ALL-natural ingredients.

Light Colored Hair Dark Hair
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder
    • Alternative: cornstarch
  • 2 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 drop peppermint essential oil
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa or cinnamon powder
  • 2 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 drop peppermint essential oil

Directions:

1. Blend all ingredients together in a small glass container that has a lid.

2. TO USE:

  • Sprinkle mixture onto your scalp and hair roots.
  • Apply the mixture evenly into your hair using your fingertips (you can also use a clean makeup brush if preferred).
  • Allow the dry shampoo to sit for a couple of minutes in your hair.
  • Comb and style your hair as you usually would, making sure the dry shampoo is well blended into your hair.

Next time you are in a pinch… just grab a pinch of this Homemade Dry Shampoo to give your hair a fresh look!

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
