Today, I want to talk to you about some of the incredible foods I fill my grocery cart and my body with every single week. These foods line the perimeter of any good grocery store and are straight from Mother Nature herself!

Unless I’m in a produce-specific store, you will rarely find me wandering the inner aisles. Occasionally I will make an intentional trip down an aisle to grab some coconut milk, coconut oil, or a spice, but other than that… the perimeter is my world! And if you are truly looking to live a life of health and wellness, then this should be true for you too.

So without further ado, let’s dive into a world of powerful, life-changing, superpower enhancing whole foods!

Berries And Fruits

If you were to sit a young child down at a table full of different foods, which foods would they grab first? Most likely they would pick the high energy, colorful foods like fruits and berries. In his book, The Detox Miracle Sourcebook, Robert Morse, N.D. says “The ancient Greeks… ate nothing but fruit and each generation reached the age of 200 years.”

Berries have incredible antioxidant and cell-protecting nutrients called phytochemicals. These neutralize free radicals in the body that may otherwise cause disease. They also help protect you against EMFs and radiation. The flavonoids in berries help us with mental clarity, memory and learning.

Herbs

Nothing ages a person more quickly than stress. Did you know that our brain cells actually die when exposed to high amounts of cortisol (the stress hormone)? In our modern, high-paced society, stress has become a way of living rather than an occasional reaction to threats.

Many of the following herbs are also called adaptogens. Adaptogens are plants that have the ability to help your body cope with stress. The influence this has on your health is enormous, as stress is a root cause of numerous illnesses.
