The Simplest Way To Develop Beautiful Skin

Written by: Joanne Beccarelli

Anti-aging skin care sales in the United States are expected to reach $2 billion in 2015.(1)

That represents a lot of desire for youthful, glowing skin, yet the breadth of skin care products available cannot repair and restore skin that is overburdened by poor food choices and environmental toxins regardless of how expensive they are, which raises the simple, but critical question:

“Could it be that acquiring beautiful skin is as simple as changing food habits and even as simple as drinking a fresh juice each day?”

Let’s consider this. Have you ever noticed that avid juicers and plant-based eaters usually have fresh, glowing skin? You may have assumed that it is because of genetics or from sweaty workouts, but glowing skin is a wonderful benefit that comes from consuming an abundance of the right vegetables and fruits.

Nourishing the skin and helping the body cleanse itself from the inside all the way out to the skin each and every day really can be that easy!

The Root Of Skin Beauty Comes From Nutrition

Some of the most important vitamins for skin health are antioxidants, vitamins C, E, K and beta-carotene, the precursor to vitamin A, which all help to fight free radicals. Free radicals cause oxidative damage that lead to cell damage and for skin health, that means collagen breakdown, wrinkles and aging. Although some free radicals are the result of the body’s natural processes, many also result from consuming processed foods, oils, meats and alcohol, or being exposed to household and environmental toxins or even cigarette smoke.

While the mentioned vitamins directly help with skin resilience, some vitamins also help the skin to retain moisture (vitamin B-5/pantothenic), to fight dark circles under the eyes (vitamin K) and even to address some types of itchiness and rashes (vitamin H/Biotin). Therefore, it follows that, by getting more of all these vitamins from whole food sources, which allow for better absorption and a wider spectrum of the vitamins, your skin will become the best it can be.

The path to better skin really is easy. Simply eat foods in abundance that contain the key vitamins and nutrients that your skin will love!

  • Vitamin A – Sweet potato, carrots, leafy greens, celery
  • Vitamin C – Bell pepper, broccoli, leafy greens, celery, oranges, strawberries, lemons
  • Vitamin E – Leafy greens, broccoli, brussel sprouts
  • Vitamin K – Leafy greens
  • Biotin – Tomatoes, onions, carrots, sweet potatoes, almonds, peanuts
  • Sulfur – Kale, broccoli, asparagus, onions, garlic
  • Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B5 – Sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower
  • Omega 3 – Sea vegetables, ground flaxseeds, chia seeds, fish oil

And, if you are in a rush for that supple skin, juicing will ramp up your servings even quicker than eating them. Try these delicious, vitamin filled, skin loving juice recipes to get started!

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
