The Secret To Accessing The Hidden Powers Of Your Mind

Imagine a cat. Your own cat, a neighbor’s, or that stray cat that sneaks by every now and then to chase the sparrows around your yard. Now imagine that cat sitting on your porch or in your kitchen. Imagine it hunched over. It’s shoulders start to heave, and it’s mouth is stretched open, teeth and tongue exposed. It’s going to be sick.

Suddenly, the cat’s breakfast spills out onto the floor. It’s an orangey-brown color and there are chunks in it. Fresh from the cat’s innards, it’s steaming and the smell rises into your nose…

Is anyone gagging yet?

But hold on. You do realize that THERE’S NO CAT, right? Remember, you’re on your computer, or phone, or Ipad, not on your porch watching a cat barf.

So what happened there?

That, my friend, is the POWER OF THE MIND. You used your brain to paint a reality based on my made-up story and it became so real that you’re making faces and covering your mouth to keep your own breakfast from slipping back up your throat.

Now think of the things that go through your mind daily. On average, every person has around 60,000 thoughts a day. If even half of those are negative or discouraging thoughts, how do you think that affects your attitude and well being?

If you’re telling yourself every couple minutes that you’re inadequate, or that life is hard, or that there’s no way you’re going to get through x, y, or z, chances are you’re going to start believing it.

So how about a mindset manicure? A mental turnaround? A change of thought process?

The best place to start is to REPLACE YOUR DISCOURAGING THOUGHTS WITH POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 

When trying to rid your mind of negative thoughts, it’s easy to say, “well, I just won’t think them.” But what happens when you spend all day telling yourself not to think of cat barf? You’re going to start smelling partially digested mouse carcasses.

Instead, whenever you think something negative, replace it with something positive. Switch out “I can’t do this” with, “but I CAN do that.” Change, “I’m not looking my best today” to, “this shirt looks GREAT on me.” You’ll discover that the more positive affirmations you insert into your day, the more your day will conspire to support them.

If you can create a reality from nothing, think of what you can create with the canvas of your life! All it takes is a conscious effort to put value into yourself and the things going on around you. You’ll find more energy, more passion, better relationships and greater opportunities for good.

You have everything it takes to accomplish anything you want and it’s all in the power of your mind!

Now that you’ve recognized your personal mind power, it’s time to PUT IT TO WORK!

So take those 60,000 thoughts and make them GOOD ONES!
