The “People Food” You SHOULD Feed Your Dog
There has been only one constant in my life for the past 9 ½ years. ONE!
I’ve changed homes, jobs, boyfriends, hairstyles – just about everything. Yet, one “thing” has remained the same…
And that is the undying love and companionship from my dog, LaRoo.
Whether I’m coming home exhausted after a long day or simply leave the house for 5 minutes, she is always there to excitedly greet me and give me kisses. It’s true love!
However, now that she is becoming a little old lady, my concern for her health and well-being has become heightened, given some recent health issues she has had.
I like to approach my health from a natural perspective and was curious as to how I can for her as well.
What did I find?
I discovered that TURMERIC can be incredible for dogs!
Not only does turmeric have many benefits for humans, it also has similar effects for dogs.

HOW To Add Turmeric To Your Dog’s Diet
Turmeric is a great addition to any diet, including your dogs! However, it can be a bit messy and has been known to stain if spilled.
If your dog is anything like mine, she wants her food and she wants it NOW – which entails her scarfing it down and spilling it all around.
Make this Golden Turmeric Paste to help give turmeric to your 4 legged friend (developed by Australian veterinarian Dr. Doug English).
Golden Turmeric Paste Recipe
- ½ cup organic turmeric powder
- 1 to 1 ½ cups filtered water
- 1 ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ cup organic coconut oil
- Mix the turmeric with the water in a pan, starting with 1 cup water and adding more only if needed.
- Stir the liquid on medium/low heat and in about 7 to 10 minutes, it should form a thick paste. If your paste looks watery, add a bit of turmeric and heat it for another couple of minutes.
- Once you’ve got a paste, add the pepper and oil, stir well.
- Allow the mixture to cool.
- Place it in a jar with a lid and store it in your fridge. Store the paste for no more than two weeks.

Giving Golden Turmeric Paste To Your Dog
- Add the Golden Paste directly to your dog’s meals!
- Mix it with some water.
- Start with about ¼ to ½ tsp, depending on the size of your dog.
- Increase the amount from there (up to about a tbsp for larger dogs).
- Turmeric leaves the body quickly, so it’s best to feed smaller amounts a few times a day.

Do NOT use the turmeric spice in your cupboard as a health supplement. Many spices are adulterated with carcinogens, GMO corn, dyes, and even sawdust!
Choose a super critically extracted, Organic, Non-GMO turmeric supplement like this one.
