Have you ever had a moment when you think…”HOW did I not know about this before?”

That is exactly what I thought yesterday as I was listening to an audiobook while lounging on the beach (hallelujah for January summers in Australia).

As Michael Greger, author of How Not To Die, was sharing his incredible knowledge of plant-based eating, he mentioned how he loves to eat frozen DATES as a snack.

Now, I’ve chowed down on frozen blueberries and bananas as a healthy sweet and natural treat… but dates? I HAD to try it out and…

GENIUS.

Hands down, I had a cloud-parting, sunshine beaming out of my tastebuds and rainbows exploding in my mouth kind of moment. HOW did I not know about this before?

Oh, so simple.

And oh, so tasty.

Throw a bag of dates in your freezer for the easiest and tastiest healthy “candy.”

Frozen dates are chewy and caramel-like, making them the PERFECT alternative when you are jonesing for something sweet.
