I love to eat. And I absolutely love delicious food.

I’ve had the pleasure of living in Italy during my travels and let me just tell you – YUM YUM YUM!

But, I have discovered something odd about sharing the table with various Italian families… and it leaves me with a simple question.

WHERE IS THE SALT?

I don’t know if it’s just because I’m American that I am accustomed to the salt and pepper shakers being on the table, but I’ve found myself missing the little salty shake, shake, shake and flavoring my dish to my desire. I enjoy the taste of salt.

However, being the healthy minded person that I am, I can’t ignore the fact that there is a LOT of controversy surrounding the use of SALT.

Is it bad for blood pressure? Doesn’t it dehydrate you? Can’t it be toxic?

But to get started, it is necessary to recognize that not all salt is created equal. There is the standard “table salt” that is found in most restaurants and is still widely used in home cooking… and then there is sea salt.

Let’s take a look at the differences:

New Picture

The truth is that human beings cannot live without salt – healthy salt, that is! It is necessary to have the right amount of it in your body – and it is essential for your body to function properly.

There has been a lot of made up information about the negative health effects of salt, when research shows that low-sodium diets are actually quite harmful to your health!

Collective studies have proven that restricting your sodium intake to less than 2,500 milligrams can cause a slew of health problems such as:

An excellent and healthy way to support your body to use salt most efficiently is to add a little salt to water and drink it when you first wake up. Take 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of sea salt and mix it with purified water. The right level of sodium for most people to consume daily is between 2,500 – 6,000 milligrams of quality sea salt. If you are experiencing a lot of stress, it is even MORE important to consume salt, as it plays a vital role in your adrenal function.

To ensure you are using the best sea salt available, follow this guideline:

  • Use pink salt mined in Utah or the Himalayas

Making the simple switch from table salt to sea salt will give you a massive upgrade to your health and you can enjoy the delicious taste of salt in your favorite dishes.

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
