Tackle Allergies With These Healing Foods and Juices!

Allergies are caused by inflammation, which is the normal healing response by the body when under attack, such as in the case of injury. However, allergies are an example of chronic inflammation, which can cause some serious problems over time. Chronic inflammation causes an inappropriate response in the body due to toxins being activated in the immune system. Allergies come in different forms, from skin, eyes, nose, or airways.
Let’s talk a little bit about toxin exposure.
Your body can only handle so much. So let’s say, for instance, that your body can efficiently process and remove 1 million toxins in a day (which is a fact). Well, according to the Global Healing Center, we are taking in roughly 2.1 million toxins daily–twice the amount our body can handle! And these toxins are coming from “normal” day-to-day exposures, like the air we breathe, the food we eat, the beverages we consume, prescription drugs, heavy metals, radiation, physical and emotional stress, parasites…and more! Essentially, simply being alive is a recipe for toxin-burden. The solution: step up your game and get to work on supporting all aspects of your life, including the important parts you’ve been neglecting (sleep, stress, relationships, diet, exercise).
Our bodies are highly intelligent. We are constantly exposed to all sorts of toxins on a daily basis, and our body does its best to get rid of them as quickly as possible. The real kicker is that without proper elimination, these sneaky toxins can pass through the intestinal walls and find their way into your bloodstream where they go to work to create the perfect home for illness and disease. Let me repeat that. Overabundance of toxins creates illness and disease. Scary, but true.
The key with allergies is to decrease the inflammation, allowing the body the space necessary to filter the bad guys (toxins) and do its job appropriately.

Raw Nuts (other than peanuts), Flax Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Whole Grains
Extra: For a quick allergy aid, put a drop of lemon, lavender, and peppermint essential oil into a cup of water and drink it. You can also put the oils into an empty vegetable capsule to help reach further down into your gut.

Healing Juice Recipe
- 2 cups raspberries
- 2 oranges
- ½ cup whole cranberries
- ½ cup hulled strawberries
- Chop ingredients so they fit into your juicer.
- Place all ingredients in juicer and enjoy right away, as is or over ice.
