Stress Shown To Cancel Out The Benefits Of A Healthy Diet – Saturday Strategy

Stress Shown To Cancel Out The Benefits Of A Healthy Diet – Saturday Strategy

I want to talk to you about something super important today… your stress levels. I’m also going to give to you a really tasty, delicious, mouth watering tea recipe that will leave you begging for more!

First, let me show you a cycle you and I both know all too well:

Stress = Inflammation = Disease

Let me guess – you’re eating healthy, working out, eliminating processed foods, eating lots of salads, even ditched the soda… but you’re still not feeling good?

After all the efforts you put into cooking good meals and shopping at the Farmer’s Market, you were really hoping for some better results.

I get it! You’re frustrated and ready to give up… BUT DON’T! I think I’ve got something that might help you.

You see, there’s a study that came out recently that suggests one of the main culprits to many people’s health issues that has NOTHING to do with what you eat…

When I read that I was actually shocked – but get this:

This factor in your life could be causing INFLAMMATION and everything that it leads to joint pain, fatigue, poor digestion, trouble sleeping. Even CANCELING out the benefits of your healthy diet! If you DON’T get this under control than you could be eating all the healthy food in sight and still not feel like your best self.

What am I talking about today? Maybe you’ve guessed it…

stress, healthy diet, inflammation

A study from Ohio State Wexner Medical Center took women averaging in their 50’s and had them eat one of two meals: one mostly consisting of unhealthy fats that are associated with plaque buildup in the arteries and  inflammation and another more healthy meal.

They also had each women take a small survey to find out how stressful their previous day was.

Can you guess what they found?

Turns out, women eating the meal with unhealthy fats had high levels of inflammation and potential for plaque buildup. Women who ate the healthier meal did not. But there’s a catch.

If the women had a stressful day previous to their meal, they ALSO showed high levels of inflammation and potential for plaque buildup, regardless of the healthy meal they ate.

Basically, stress could be affecting your health just as much OR MORE than unhealthy food.

Let me repeat those findings.

stress, healthy diet, inflammation

I am not telling you this to scare you towards eating more junk, to the contrary. Eating healthy AND managing stress is the best way to get your health where you want it to be!

And it’s possible, but it’s gonna take YOU committing and following through to get the results you want and deserve.

To start off, I want to give you a recipe with some ingredients that are scientifically shown to help reduce cortisol levels (the stress hormone) in the body.

You tell me what other TEA does that and I’m on board!

This is an incredible first step towards bringing your beautiful body back in balance and finally, getting those results you’ve been working so hard to achieve. I know you’re working hard and I want to commend you for that. Now it’s time to take it up a notch!

The star I am focusing on today is:

Ashwagandha, The Anti-Stress Herb

stress, healthy diet, inflammation

Ashwagandha is one of the most powerful herbs in Ayurvedic medicine and use of the root can be traced back over 3000 years. It has been called “King and Queen of Herbs” and is esteemed very highly for its medicinal properties.

This ancient ayurvedic herb has been shown to reduce cortisol levels in the body by up to 26%.

Ashwagandha-Infused Mint Tea Recipe

Directions: Wash the mint leaves then tear them into small pieces. Put into a teapot or a french press along with the Organifi. Pour in boiling water. Steep for 3-7 minutes. Add honey to taste.

If using Ashwagandha root, boil it in water for 15 minutes, then add to teapot with mint leaves to steep.

There are a lot of things to think about when trying to improve your life. Don’t get overwhelmed by everything you have to figure out. Instead, take things one at a time, one day at a time, one breath at a time.

Speaking of breath, I want you to remember to BREATHE. Life gets busy. Stress is inevitable. But you can choose to deal with it in a way that works FOR you instead of against you. Make the decision. Take action. And watch your world – and body – transform.
