Steve’s Top 4 Cancer-Fighting Tips plus 2 juice recipes!

Within two years, I was diagnosed with two types of cancer. The first cancer was testicular cancer and was easily treatable with surgery. And within 11 months, a new cancer had grown to the size of a small apple. Each time I had been diagnosed with cancer, my entire life was turned upside down. I was angry and an all-around emotional mess! I had gone through three rounds of chemo, which was painful and sucked the life out of my body, but I was determined to get healthy and live fully!

Here are a few things that I  did to reclaim my life and regain my sense of self again:

1. Love Yourself. With cancer came along chemotherapy. During chemotherapy, I lost all of my hair and looked like a ghost. I even lost my eye color! I had to either love myself or hate the body I was in. I chose to love myself no matter what! Having a positive mindset affects our body’s physiology. A positive mind creates a healthy body.

2. Get Spicy. Get spicy with the powerful orange root – turmeric. In clinical studies, turmeric has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect in the human body. Chronic inflammation causes a lot of damage to the body and is at the root of all disease. Turmeric  has also has been shown to either reduce, or completely dissolve, some types of cancers. During my treatment, I used turmeric supplements in excess of 1,000 mg per day. Other times, I opted to instead juice at least 3 times per day and absorb all the fresh nutrients straight into my bloodstream.

3. Frankincense Essential Oil. According to studies published on PubMed.com, Frankincense (boswellia sacra) induces tumor-cell specific apoptosis and suppresses tumor growth. I applied a high quality frankincense essential oil on all of my major lymph nodes of my body. I also used it internally on a daily basis.

4. Veggies and Fruits. There are many veggies to choose from for juicing. But the best cancer fighters to juice are of the cruciferous variety, such as broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower. I love to add kale and spinach, which are loaded with vitamins and minerals. All the bright and deeply colored fruits and berries such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and pomegranate are great options. Even tomatoes, which are high in lycopene, have been shown to help in reducing tumor growth.

Kale Zinger
 
Ingredients
  • 2 cups of kale
  • 1 apple
  • ½ lemon
  • ½ inch of ginger
Instructions
  1. Wash and prepare all ingredients; feed into your juicer; enjoy!

Beet-A-Licious
 
Ingredients
  • 1 red beet
  • 1 knuckle ginger
  • 1 lemon
  • 2-3 carrots
  • 2-3 stalks celery
  • 2-3 tubers of turmeric
  • 1 cucumber
Instructions
  1. Wash and prepare all ingredients; feed into your juicer; enjoy!
