I once saw a t-shirt that said “I put ketchup on my ketchup.”

In regards to my ketchup usage philosophy as a child… they NAILED it. Ketchup is delicious. I drove my mom nuts because I always insisted on putting ketchup on expensive cuts of meat, such as filet mignon.

There was absolutely NO shame in my ketchup game.

That is until I became an adult and really started questioning WHAT I was putting in my mouth.

The questionable ingredients I found that existed in my favorite red sauce led to a ketchup CRISIS!

Take a look at the back of your standard ketchup bottle and you will find some ugly ingredients

High fructose corn syrup?

MORE corn syrup?

“Natural flavor?” What the heck is that?

Not to mention it contains GMO products given the majority of ketchup ingredients are corn based (and up to 85% of corn grown in the U.S. has GMOs).

Whenever I discover something shocking like this, my instinct is to go directly “back to the basics” and find a simple recipe I can make at home… so that I know exactly what is in my food.

Check out this easy-peasy 5 ingredient homemade ketchup recipe that you can make today and store in your fridge.

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
