Shoulder Pain? Here’s What It Probably Means

We all experience aches and pains in our bodies from time to time. Perhaps you are dealing with frequent or chronic pain too.

Though pain may be annoying and frustrating, it always serves a purpose. Pain is a messenger. Depending on its characteristics and location, your pain can indicate many different things about the state of your body.

Unless you were in an accident or injured in some way, your pain is mostly internal. Internal pain means that there are issues going on inside, which can be linked to deficiency, excess, or blockage of some necessary energy.

When your organs don’t get enough energy – such as blood, oxygen and/or nutrients – that it needs, it won’t function properly and health issues will develop. For example, in the case of a heart attack, the heart didn’t receive the proper energy it needed to function, resulting in intense pain in the chest, then a collapse of the organ and often death as the end result.

It doesn’t have to be extreme pain; even your little aches and pains can indicate issues in your organs.

For example, pain in your shoulders can tell a lot about your health. Oftentimes, it has to do with your gut.

  • Pain under your shoulder blade may mean you have issues with gallstones or you have a blockage in your bile duct.
  • Pain in the top of your shoulder may mean you are constipated and your detoxification system is not working well. This may lead to colon cancer in the future.
  • Pain in the center of your shoulder blade may mean you have SIBO or other issues in your small intestine. This can actually lead to a heart attack down the road.

Chinese medicine, ayurveda and other natural healing techniques can help assessing your internal health condition through evaluating the pain in your body.

Don’t be scared. Pain is not a bad thing. Pain is your friend, a messenger sending a signal that your body is out of balance. Your job is to recognize and listen to your pain and to help your body regain balance and health and to avoid major diseases.

Follow these steps and regain your health:

  • Eat a whole foods, balanced, preferably organic diet with plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains.
  • Avoid processed sugar, caffeine, alcohol, drugs and tobacco.
  • Drink plenty of water, 8-10 glasses a day.
  • Take a daily probiotic supplement and eat probiotic rich foods.
  • Exercise daily 20-30 minutes.
  • Get plenty of sleep, minimum 8 hours a night.
  • Reduce stress, stretch your body, practice relaxation techniques and meditate.

By practicing these techniques, you will be able to keep your body healthy and properly functioning and as a result, reduce or eliminate your pain.
