Cinnamon is one of my favorite scents and one of my favorite spices to use. I use it in my oatmeal, smoothies and sometimes even my coffee to give it that extra flavor.

Cinnamon can be used in many different ways, whether it is to spice up your recipe or to even use the essential oil to make your home smell warm and inviting.

Either way, cinnamon is amazing and incredible for your health!

How Cinnamon Benefits Your Health

1. Cinnamon Can Help Control Blood Sugar. Those who suffer with type 2 diabetes can benefit by eating more cinnamon. A recent study has shown that those who suffer with type 2 diabetes and eat cinnamon on a regular basis can actually help with controlling their blood sugar.

2. Cinnamon Can Help With Fungal Infections. Cinnamon contains an active ingredient called cinnamaldehyde. This ingredient has both antifungal and antibacterial properties. In fact, cinnamaldehyde is so strong in its antifungal properties, that is can inhibit the growth and fight against infections caused by fungi.

3. Cinnamon Can Treat Bacterial Infections. The same ingredient in cinnamon that can kill fungi can also kill bacteria. Cinnamaldehyde can help prevent tooth decay as well as reduce bad breath. It can also inhibit the growth of Salmonella and Listeria bacteria.

Cinnamon contains anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the inflammation and therefore, reduce and relieve pain. The anti-inflammation properties found in cinnamon can also help reduce your risk of certain cancers and heart disease.
