Salt: Your Key To A Successful Poop
If I had a dollar for every day I didn’t go “number 2” in my life, I would easily be retired and sipping fresh coconut water on a private beach somewhere.
However, here I am – STILL dealing with bouts of constipation and absolutely aware that there is no pay day on its way… at least not in a financial way.
If you are like the 20% of the public that suffers from constipation, then you KNOW how incredible it is when you finally get some sweet relief. You also know that simply eating more vegetables and high-fiber foods doesn’t necessarily move things along.
It’s time for YOUR own special pay day.
The method I am about to share is a jackpot for relieving constipation because it is:

So, what is your winning ticket? Let me introduce you to the… SALT WATER FLUSH.
What Is A Salt Water Flush?
Also called a “master cleanse” or a “salt water cleanse,” a salt water flush is designed to help you cleanse your digestive system and colon by bringing on a forced bowel movement.
By drinking a salt mixture, it ignites your body’s mechanism of waste elimination and natural detoxification. Salt is needed for many biochemical processes and helps you get your digestive system back on track.
If you aren’t pooping daily (1-3 times), then you aren’t “regular.” The waste can get stuck in your colon, causing you to gain weight, create a toxic burden and feel like crap (pun intended), hence your need to flush your system with salt.
The results of doing a salt water flush include:
- Feeling lighter
- Less sluggish
- Less weighed-down
How To Do A Salt Water Flush
It is best and most effective to do a salt water flush first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If you prefer to do it later in the day, make sure that you haven’t eaten anything in at least 2 hours.
What You Need:
- 2 teaspoons of pink Himalayan salt
- Alternative: any sea salt that is pure (no iodine added)
- 1 liter of filtered warm water
- Fresh juice of 1 lemon (to cut the taste of the salt)
- Glass jar with lid
1. Place the salt, water and lemon into the glass jar. Secure the lid and shake it until no salt granules are visible.
2. Drink the mixture quickly.
- Aim to finish it in under 5 minutes.
- Pinch your nose if you have to to mask the salty taste!
3. Lay down on your side and massage your stomach, then repeat on the other side.
- Helps your body fully absorb the salt.
4. After some time, you will start to feel the urge to go to the bathroom: PAY DAY!
- Stay near the bathroom for several hours, as you will need to use it several times.
When the cleanse is finished and your colon is emptied, it is best to follow it up with a dose of probiotics and eating healthy foods. This helps establish healthy bacteria in your microbiome (your internal gut flora). It also provides you with essential electrolytes and nutrients.
