Lettuce_Wrap_Burgers


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, bison, or turkey
  • 1/4 -1/2 medium onion chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper
  • 4-6 lettuce cups (romaine, iceberg or butter lettuce)
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 red onion, caramelized (optional)
  • mustard (dijon or stone-ground)


Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the above ingredients and form 4-6 palm-sized patties.
  2. Sautee in 1 tsp of coconut oil over medium heat until patties are cooked all the way through.
