Raspberry
What’s inside:
Potassium, vitamin C, A, fiber, iron, magnesium, zinc
Did you know there are over 200 different kinds of raspberries? Evidence of raspberries has been found as far back as the paleolithic age. In Greek Mythology, raspberries were used for fertility. The most common varieties (black and red) are grown all over the United States.
Health Benefits:

Raspberries promote healthy weight loss, improve eyesight, increase blood formation and are anti-aging. Their high vitamin C content aids the immune system in fighting off colds, flu and seasonal infections. Like blueberries, raspberries are also good at balancing blood sugar in those with type 2 diabetes.

The berry isn’t the only part of the plant with medicinal properties. The leaves have been commonly used in tea for relief from menstrual symptoms and digestive upset.
Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties:
The antioxidants in raspberries help to protect DNA from free radical damage and thus help one to avoid cancer, macular degeneration, etc. Their phytonutrients and tannins make them an effective at reducing inflammation in the stomach, intestine and cardiovascular system.
