I’ve had my clothes “decorated” with snot.

I’ve also gently consoled a child as she was throwing up in my office trash can.

For me, it was just another day on the job as a Director of a Childcare Center. It took a LOT to give me the heeby-jeebies. I thought I was pretty iron clad; that is until I witnessed…

LICE.

And let me tell you. They are RUTHLESS and an absolute nightmare to deal with as they are highly contagious and usually require a plethora of chemicals to destroy… until NOW.

Should you, your child, or someone you know come into contact with lice, immediately turn to the natural power of  COCONUT OIL.

Why Use Coconut Oil?

According to a study published in the European Journal of Pediatrics, a combination of coconut oil and anise spray is MORE effects than permethrin (a commonly used prescription lice treatment). The study found that:

  • The coconut oil based spray was 83% successful
    • The permethrin was ONLY 42% successful
  • 33 of the 50 participants reported scalp irritation when using the prescription

Coconut oil is not only effective for lice, but it is also SAFE to use and has no serious side effects on children.

How To Use Coconut Oil To Prevent And Help With Lice

Here is how to make Natural Homemade Lice Preventatives:

  • Lice Prevention: Use coconut oil as a leave-in hair conditioner by massaging ¼ teaspoon or more into your hair. Coconut oil penetrates your hair shaft as well as your scalp. As a result, it helps to repel lice and keeps their eggs from being able to attach to your hair.

Lice Preventive: If there is an infestation of lice, mix:

  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon ylang ylang
  • 1 teaspoon anise
  • 1 teaspoon tea tree oil
  • Note: DOUBLE the recipe for longer hair. The above recipe is sufficient for shoulder length hair.

Lice Preventive: If there is an infestation of lice, mix:

 Directions:

1. Apply the solution all over your scalp.
2. Massage it in and pull it through to the ends.
3. Use a finetooth comb and brush your hair.
4.
Cover your head in a shower cap and allow to sit for 2 hours.

  • If possible, sit in the sun or use a hair dryer to warm up the cap .

5. Remove the shower cap and seal in a plastic bag and throw it away in a trashcan that is outdoors.
6. Carefully comb your hair again.
7. Wash and rinse your hair thoroughly 2 times.
8. While your hair is still wet, combine in a small spray bottle:

      • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
      • 1 cup water

9. Saturate the hair by spraying ½ the bottle on your scalp.
10. Pour the remaining mixture over your hair and massage gently.
11. Rinse and comb again.
12. Apply 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and cover with a clean shower cap OR style as desired.
13. Leave the coconut oil in until next hair washing.

To ensure that all lice and eggs are eradicated, this process needs to be repeated every 5-10 days for a couple of weeks.

Between using the coconut oil lice preventives, make sure to use a fine toothcomb and work through your hair in the morning and night.

If you become informed that somebody you or your children came into contact with has lice, start using coconut oil RIGHT AWAY as it helps both repel and kill lice. Even if you have no current symptoms, it is best to start using coconut oil as a daily leave in conditioner to help prevent a outbreak.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
