LADIES: Remedy Your Menstrual Cramps Today With Cinnamon Ginger Tea

Both ginger and cinnamon are some of our favorite remedying ingredients.

Ginger is a remedy master with its almost magical ability to help your digestive system and relieve nausea, motion sickness, female morning sickness and cramps.

Then we have cinnamon, which is a bit lesser known, but is just as widely used and researched as ginger. This incredible bark spice has long been used for flavoring food, but cannot be forgotten as the powerful remedy it is, especially when teamed up with ginger.

Medicinal Properties Of Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a powerful and fragrant spice that can be made into an essential oil, ground into a powder, or used whole in various dishes. It is packed with tannins, magnesium, zinc and iron.

Cinnamon is great for stimulating your various body systems, boosting your vitality, clearing out congestion and improving circulation. It is a very established digestive aid that can help people who have problems with bloating, overeating and slow digestive systems. This awesome bark can also help stabilize blood sugar levels.

Cinnamon is a natural flu aid and can fight viruses, bacteria and fungal infections.  Cinnamon even acts as an emmenagogue, which aids in painful and sluggish menstrual cycles.

Pair Your Ginger With Cinnamon In This Medicinal Tea!

In addition to using a heating pad or hot water in a bottle placed on the pelvic area, try sipping this healing tea to sooth your cramps.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp of chopped cinnamon bark
  • 1 tsp of chopped dried ginger or freshly grated gingerroot (fresh is always best)
  • Honey (optional)

Directions:

1. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over your herbs and cover, allowing for a steep time of 30-45 minutes. Strain and sweeten up with delicious local honey, if you desire.

2. Make sure to sip this hot tea slowly to avoid getting burned. Prepare and drink this tea as often as you feel you need, or until your cramps have subsided.
