9 Things That Happen To Your Body With Every Glass Of Kombucha
Have you heard of the mystical drink called kombucha?
If you’ve followed Fitlife.tv long enough, you probably saw that a couple years back, there was a full on tutorial teaching you how to make it.
I stumbled upon this tutorial the other day, but before taking off to make my first batch, I wanted to do some deep mad scientist research to find out exactly what it is and why I should invest my time in making it.
You see, I am not a virgin to kombucha, but I am by no means a kombucha expert either. At least, I wasn’t before doing some major recon for this article.
In the past I have drank kombucha and I have been asked the question, “hey dude, what is that?”
This conversation usually ended with me muttering something about gut health and how it’s super healthy for me.
But now I know better! It’s so much more than that!
It’s time for you and I to get educated on what this stuff is and why it’s so fantastic!
Let’s first start with the origin story. This stuff has been around for thousands of years!
The first people to drink it were Samurai Warriors in China back in third century B.C.
I’m not a big beer drinker, so I can guarantee that the next party I go to, I am showing up with kombucha and if anyone gives me a hard time, I’ll just tell them I’m indulging in the beverage of choice for Samurai Warriors.
So what is kombucha anyway?
It is a black, green or white tea that is fermented with sugar and a bunch of bacteria and yeast.
It sounds wild, but through its fermentation process, this drink becomes what the Chinese referred to as “The Immortal Health Elixir.”
I know what you’re thinking. “I can stop reading now. A nickname that cool is enough for me. I’m sold.”
But before you close out this article, let’s run through some of the amazing health benefits you’ll get from drinking kombucha that you probably weren’t aware of.
