How Christina Hagan Lost Over 100 Pounds In 4 Steps
First, I would like to tell everyone a little about myself to get an idea of how I lost over 100 pounds with juicing! As a young child I had a great family life with wonderful supportive parents and siblings. I was very fit and played tackle football, track, and was on the swim team. Being in shape and enjoying sports was a very easy task in my life.
As my college years came around at 22 years old I noticed my weight gain; a lot of it. Yes, eating healthy wasn’t on my agenda everyday but the weight was coming on really quickly. After a few days I realized that the food I consumed in my everyday life was literally putting toxins in my body without even realizing it and it needed to stop!
My parents started juicing and suggested for me to try it as well. At first it sounded to good to be true, then everything changed from my breathing to my weight loss! I started to feel healthy, happy, and my attitude even changed about everything in life! I am still on my journey to lose my last 40 pounds, but now losing over 100 pounds by juicing (which is literally a person worth of weight) is goal for which nothing will stop me! Here are my 5 easy tips for your journey with juicing and starting a new happy you!
1.) Positive thinking- First you must control your mind in saying you are a strong person who needs and wants to be healthy (not skinny, many people get that confused) for your body type. Say quotes, have a journal to write down thoughts, ideas, or recipes, and be positive! Take 10 minutes to do breathing exercises and you will see a difference within 2 weeks! Having a good support system is key to juicing until you reach your goal, so have a few people on board with you and this journey!
2.) Healthy food shopping- It is so important to be aware of what you put in your body so read about what foods are beneficial for juicing! If you don’t have the money to buy a book, get it online before you go shopping. I live in Florida where there are many farmers markets and veggie gardens so I can literally pick my own fruits/veggies! Yes, it is time consuming, but the reward on your body is worth it!
3.) Working out- Yes, I know many reading this say “I don’t have time to workout”, but this is a lie that you are telling yourself and your body. Many need to realize our body is a reflection of how you treat it and treat yourself. Sometimes I don’t feel like driving 20 minutes to my gym. On those days I just pop in a DVD and either do yoga, Pilates, or zumba in my own home! No more time for excuses!
4.) Tools to juice- Having the right tools to juice can be important, but sometimes costly as well. There are many ways to juice without having to buy a juice maker. You can get benefits from other appliances such as blenders, which are a good replacement for fruit smoothies/juices, and a coffee grinder for nuts, seeds, and beans. Planning what you are going to juice and drink the day before is important and more efficient, saving you time and energy, perhaps enough time for your workout (cough, cough).
I guarantee the reward on your body will be incredible and how you feel on the inside is even better! For me personally my hair, teeth, nails and skin were glowing and healthier then ever before! In two weeks when you have to buy a new wardrobe you will never turn back.
Most of any health problems I had before are almost completely gone and not noticeable anymore. I don’t have to take any medications, which is amazing!
