How YOU Can Make Time To Live Happily While Being Busy

This fast pace, no time to yourself, pressure-to-do-more society we have created is stressful. It’s constantly reminding us that slowing down is more helpful than speeding up. Our health is important and it’s been put off on a side burner for too long.
Stress, anxiety, depression, poor sleeping habits, not drinking enough water – it’s all too much.
It’s time to slow down a bit. Focus on the things that matter most. Your health, your family, your friends and your life and finding a way to balance them all in a way that doesn’t cause added stress.
Stress causes your body to not function the way it is supposed to. It causes inflammation and disease. It’s linked to anxiety and depression, which because we don’t have time to deal with them, are conditions often medicated for the symptoms instead of the root causes, which may be: not finding happiness, not staying positive and not taking care of ourselves (I’m not saying that some don’t have a chemical imbalance or don’t need medication. Don’t get me wrong. There is a difference).
A lot of times, if you slow down, you’re able to take some time to yourself each day – 10-15 minutes when you wake up to:
- read something positive
- listen to something uplifting
- write in a journal about what you are grateful for
- sit and meditate
I’m willing to bet that if you took the time to do these things, you’d be healthier and happier. It’d relieve some stress and allow you to breathe and think clearly about your life and what is important and what you want out of it.
Time is ticking. I know that for me personally, I get caught in the “I’m young enough I can figure that out later” circle. Well, my time is ticking and no one is guaranteed tomorrow, so that mindset needs to change. I hope that you know that there is hope for finding a more balanced life. Take a look at your life and see where you can insert the things for yourself, starting today. Create the life you want filled with health and happiness.
