Are you a busy mom, college student, or business executive and feeling like you don’t have enough time to really focus on eating healthy? Maybe you’re wondering why you don’t have any energy during your busy and hectic day. Or maybe you’re feeling like you’re not getting enough rest or YOU-time.
I want to show you some tips to stay healthy, energized and revitalized all day, every day, no matter how busy your schedule is!
Our bodies and minds need a few essential things to stay happy, healthy and alive:
If you’re constantly feeling tired and fatigued, more than likely your body is telling you something.Your body is crying for help!
Learn and use these quick and easy tricks to stay energized and healthy in a crazy, busy world. No more time for excuses!
1. Wake Up With Lemon Water In Your Hands
Hydrating ourselves as we wake up stimulates our digestion and provides much needed water to our cells. With the addition of lemons, you get the benefits of cleaning out any toxins that may be in your body. Some additional benefits of lemon water include – balancing your pH, stimulates the lymph system, cleans the liver.
2. Take 5 And Breathe Deeply
Take 5 minute breaks throughout your day to help reduce stress. Simply find a quiet place, close your eyes and take in full, deep breaths. Deep breathing increases oxygen flow to the brain and increases energy, plus, it activates the relaxation response. While you are enjoying your 5 minutes, take the time to be in a mindset of gratitude and set your intentions for a positive day. Enjoy and breathe!
3. You Are What You Eat
Fill your body with a lot of green and high quality, clean proteins. And eat often. It’s best to eat every 2-3 hours to help maintain a steady metabolism and energy level. Eating clean proteins and greens will drastically increase your energy levels and improve your micronutrient intake, leading to a healthier you.
4. Get Moving
Did you know that a brisk walk can promote cardiovascular health and improve your health? Try dancing (Zumba), yoga, walking around the office, or just clean the house for an instant energy fix.
5. Get Some Sleep
It’s been shown that if you can get 7-9 hours of sleep, you’ll feel energized and rested for the next day. Be sure your bedroom is dark and all distractions – such as cell phones – are turned off. You can also add some lavender essential oil to your pillow and drift off to dreamland. A warm bath with epsom salts and lavender essential oil is also a perfect way to get relaxed.
6. Keep It Positive
Negative self talk or a negative environment can lead to low energy and stress. Some easy ways to stay positive is to be grateful for all the good things in your life. Pick up an inspirational book from authors such as Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, Louise Hay and so on. Seek and find other positive people and hang out with them. Where, you may ask? If you are a social addict, search for positive support groups on Facebook or go to a MeetUp.com event.
So, there ya go! Those are just a few hacks to keeping healthy and energized in a crazy busy world. See, no excuses. 🙂
