Summer is here and people around the world want their ideal beach bodies. If they haven’t worked for it through a healthy diet all year, they might be going for a quick juice cleanse.

Are you one of these people, who is trying to create your ideal body now?

How about the ideal YOU? Not just your body, but your entire being: mind, body and soul. You should think about all parts of who you are when thriving for your ideals. By “ideal” I don’t mean perfect and I don’t mean an unrealistic perfection from a magazine, but the person you want to be inside and out.

I mean the person you already are deep inside, but want to manifest into a more visible and radiant reality.

The Ideal Me exercise is a wonderful technique that can help you with creating the beautiful ideal version of you that’s already living within you.

The exercise allows you to visualize the ideal you: the person you want to become. But it is more than just a vision board or a collage of words full of wonderful personality traits; it is a tool that you can continue using in the future.

My Ideal Me collage is always hanging on my wall and I have been doing the journaling exercise, as described later, for over a year now. This exercise has helped me tremendously to grow, to love myself and to manifest my goals.

But what am I talking about? Read on and let’s get going. This exercise has three parts. First your will complete the first and second parts, then start doing the third part, making it into a regular habit.

The Ideal Me Exercise

First Part:

In this part of the exercise, you will draw and visualize an image of the ideal you. Just grab a clean sheet of paper and draw a big heart in the middle.

Write “The Ideal [Insert your name]” (eg. “Ideal Anna”) in the middle of the heart.

Now close your eyes, take a deep breath and think about who you want to become.

Who is the ideal you? What does she/he do? How does she/he feel? What does she/he look like?

Feel it. Imagine it. Visualize it.

Open your eyes and write down everything on your sheet of paper that comes to mind regarding the ideal you.

Second Part:

Keep this sheet of paper.

Put it somewhere you can see it every single day. Stick it on your fridge. Tape it on your closet. Put it on your mirror. Glue it on the cover of your journal. It does not matter where, but make sure you see it at least once a day, but preferably more often. You can even photocopy it and hang it in several places. You can scan it and use it as a desktop screen or screen saver.

The important part is seeing it every day.

Whenever you see it, acknowledge it. Take a moment to close your eyes, take a deep breath and visualize the ideal you for a moment. Imagine being the ideal you. Notice how it feels being the ideal you.

Experience it as you already are this ideal version of yourself. Smile and be grateful.

Third Part:

The best is to have a separate journal or notebook for this exercise, but you can also use any notebook or even random sheets of papers.

Pick 10 words, qualities or actions from your Ideal You list. You don’t always have to pick different words, but it is good to mix it up in order to cover everything.

Now grab your journal, notebook or any clean paper and write sentences using these words. Each sentence should start with an “I” (e.g. “I am happy”). Each sentence should be in present tense (e.g. “I exercise five times a week”). Each sentence should be positive (e.g. “I am free”). Never use “not,” but rather use positive statements instead (e.g. instead of “I am not lazy,” say “I am motivated and active”). Write down each statement three times. You should have a total of thirty sentences.

Repeat this exercise daily in order to attract these qualities and to create the ideal you at the speed of light.

Will you try this exercise? If yes, raise your hands in the comments below and let us know the changes you experience within the next 30, 90 and 180 days of doing this.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
