How To Stop Anxiety Immediately

Do you deal with anxiety? Do you want to learn a trick that may help you naturally? Read on.

Anxiety is not fun. It is more than just stress. Anxiety attacks may not last very long, but they can be scary experiences accompanied by shortness of breath, sweating and accelerated heartbeat.

Modern medicine tends to treat anxiety with prescription medication which may seems to be a quick solution. However, medication is not the only answer, but there are natural options that can help you effectively.

Pranayama, a certain yoga practice, can ease and stop you anxiety quickly and effectively. Nadi Shodhan Pranayama, or Alternate Nostril Breathing, can be particularly helpful. This practice involves changed breathing patterns that can release tension, calm your mind, help with fatigue, clear blocked energy channels and relax your mind and body quickly, naturally and for free.

Here Is How To Do Alternate Nostril Breathing:

  1. Take your left hand with your ring finger and thumb pointing and your peace and middle finger touching your palm.
  2. Take your thumb to your right nostril and your ring finger to your left one.
  3. First block your left nostril and inhale through the right one.
  4. Next, block the right nostril, open the left and exhale.
  5. Now inhale through the left nostril.
  6. Block the left nostril and exhale through the right nostril.
  7. Keep this going back and forth until your anxiety eases.
  8. You can also add a ‘block,’ but keeping your breath in between inhale and exhale for a count of four.
