How To Increase Your Energy When You’re In A Funk – Mindset Monday

Do you ever have those days where you wake up and you do NOT feel like you’re who you want to be? Your energy is low, you’re fatigued, maybe you were out the night before and got back home late. Basically, you feel lazy and just want to spend the day in bed watching Netflix. You know what I’m talking about?

A Netflix and chill day is okay every once in awhile, but TODAY I want you to start taking life seriously. It’s time to start taking radical action in creating the life you want, no matter if you woke up on the right side of the bed or on the wrong side!

Today I want to talk to you about living your life with JOY. About living life like you’re a little kid again. I want to talk to you about materializing anything you want in the world. Everything that you want is on the other side of your breakdowns! Your breakdowns are ALWAYS an opportunity to BREAK THROUGH.

So without further ado, here’s what I do when I wake up in a “funk.”

Tips To Getting Out Of A Funk So You Can Live The Life You Want

The following are my favorite ways to raise my vibration and increase my energy and enthusiasm.

#1. Exercise

“The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack, toughen the body and polish the spirit.” – Morihei Ueshiba

Emotions are like chemicals that sit inside your body. When you move your body, you have the power to impact, process and let go of your emotions. You don’t have to go to a fancy gym or run 10 miles either. You can effectively exercise at home.

For getting out of funks, I recommend having a weighted ball in your basement or garage. When you are feeling out of sorts, go and throw this ball onto the floor. Lift it high above your head and throw it onto the ground at least 10 times. This will increase circulation and detoxification as well as raise your vibration.

#2. Joovv Light Therapy

“If light is in your heart, you will find a way home.” – Rumi

I have a joovv light in my house that I use during the day. This type of light has been shown to improve symptoms of depression, increase circulation and improve mood.

#3. Music

“Without music, life would be a mistake.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

Similar to words, music has wavelengths of energy that affect the atmosphere and even your mood. Choice of music is a key point for restaurants and other public places for exactly this reason. If you crank up some upbeat music, music with encouraging or confidence-boosting lyrics or instrumental tunes, your morning will feel more lively and wakeful.

So there are a few simple ways to increase your energy when you’re in a funk. Realign yourself and focus on your big vision. Move forward with passion and purpose. Everyone is going to wake up in a funk once in awhile. What matters is where you go from there.
