How This Piercing Could Actually Relieve Migraine Pain

I was 15 when I got my first piercing. I didn’t even have my ears pierced before so naturally, I was terrified. It wasn’t a too painful though, just a small stab, nothing else.

Besides my nose piercing, I only have a few piercings in my ears. I love piercings.

It’s been at least 4,000 years since humans have been poking holes in themselves and wearing some form of piercing. Some of these may be cultural, others may be related to their religion and of course, nowadays, it is often for fashion or self-expression.

But did you know that piercings can actually be helpful to your health?

One ear piercing in particular can relieve your headaches and migraines.

The theory comes from acupuncture: just a tiny prick from a small pin can make a headache go away.

There is a particular ear piercing called the “daith piercing” that has gained popularity in the recent years, not only as a choice in fashion, but also as a potential relief for pain.

It may sound silly, but if you think about it, acupuncture is an ancient healing method that is a popular alternative and natural healing method used today. Acupuncture can be helpful for all kinds of health conditions and pain, including headaches.

The promise of the daith piercing is to stimulate nerves underneath your skin where your ear’s inner cartilage folds. As a result of this stimuli, your body may produce endorphins and other pain relieving substances.

Can this be true? You may not find scientific studies on “daith piercings,” but hundreds of testimonials suggest it may be helpful.

You just have to try it for yourself. It’s a fun experiment that looks cute and may just stop your pain for life.

If you have or planning to get daith piercings, let us know in the comments below. We would love to know your experiences.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
