For quite some time now, many of us have been using coffee as a morning beverage and regularly consumed drink. But does coffee have a positive effect on the immune system?

On the other hand, drinking green tea is a proven and perfect way to boost your immunity and prevent illnesses. It is also a great beverage to warm up with.

Green tea was first discovered in China and its health benefits were discovered centuries ago and have since gained popularity. Green tea is now being sold in stores worldwide in ready-to-drink cans and bottles.

Benefits Of Drinking Green Tea

Green tea has antioxidants that are responsible for boosting your immune system. This enables your body to have a strong resistance towards diseases and infections. Additionally, green tea protects the body from free radical compounds that damage body cells, which ultimately helps to make your immune system run smoothly. A healthy immune system assures you that you will have maximum protection from viruses, bacteria and parasites.

Green tea also has antioxidants known as polyphenols that act as anti-inflammatory compounds in the body. This results in a swift change in immune system responses to infections and managing autoimmune diseases and rheumatoid arthritis. All of these have been tested and demonstrated the effectiveness of green tea towards fighting off inflammation.

Tea has antioxidant chemicals that reduce chances of getting stomach cancer as well as other types of cancers. It is also said that drinking green tea reduces the risk of getting a heart attack by a great percentage. All these properties of green tea present the overall immune boosting capacity.

Green tea has an ability to increase T-cells, which are regulatory cells that perform a key role in suppressing autoimmune disease and immune function. This has made green tea a great alternative to pharmaceutical drugs that perform similar roles; these drugs may sometimes have toxicity, according to research. Additionally, green tea is a natural food and therefore, tends to have a long-term way to improve such conditions without toxicity.

Drinking green tea protects your liver from infection and boosts it to perform optimally; when the liver is good, the immune system is also good. If the body is invaded by toxins, green tea will fight away all the toxins. Also, its anti-inflammatory characteristics assist in burning away fat that in turn, accelerates metabolism in the body. It is also said to reduce cholesterol levels; low cholesterol levels promote heart rate and curing heart diseases.

Green tea benefits can be summarized as rich in antioxidant characteristics and plays a key role in boosting the immune system in the body. Additionally, green tea is also helpful for diabetics. Other benefits of green tea involve reducing the cholesterol levels in the blood veins and the caffeine in green tea boosts alertness.

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
