  • 1 cup cooked quinoa has 8 grams of protein

Maple Syrup

How To Make Crunchy & Sweet Quinoa Treats


  • ½ cup white quinoa, uncooked
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil 


1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

      • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (enough to cover the edges).

2. In a mixing bowl, add quinoa, pecans, chia seeds, oats and coconut sugar.

      • Stir to combine.

3. In a small saucepan, add coconut oil and maple syrup.

      • Warm over medium-low heat for 2 minutes until well combined.

4. Pour the syrup mixture over the dry ingredients and stir to combine.

5. Lay on parchment paper, pressing it down in an even layer.

6. Bake for 15 minute and then rotate the pan and bake 5-10 more minutes.

      • Watch carefully so it does not burn.

7. When the treats are a deep golden brown remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

8. Break the treats into bite size pieces and enjoy!

STORAGE: Place in an airtight container or bag. It will keep 1 week at room temperature and 1 month in the freezer.

This delicious recipe can be easily tweaked to cater to your favorite flavors. Simply add or substitute your desired nuts, seeds and dried fruits to make a one-of-a-kind quinoa treat.
