Healthy Summer Juice Recipe

Summer is here and there is nothing better than sitting out in the sun with a nice juice in your hand. Or a “mocktail,” as I like to call it.

If you are looking for something easy, refreshing and sweet, yet full of awesome nutrients, how about trying Apple-Cucumber-Carrot Juice?!

  • Apples have so many benefits, including boosting your immune system, detoxifying your liver, ensuring a healthy heart, protecting against Alzheimer’s and reducing the risk of cancer.

  • Cucumbers are particularly awesome in the summertime – eaten raw, in salads, in cucumber-water and juiced – because they are practically crunchy, flavorful water – hydrating and delicious. Cucumber (among many benefits) fights inflammation, reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease, aids your digestion and supports your heart health.

As you can see, all three of these easily available foods are full of benefits for your entire body. Add them together and you you get a cancer-fighting, inflammation-reducing, heart-health-promoting, detoxifying, anti-aging, beautifying and hydrating magic.

Ingredients
  • 1 apple (green is the best as it’s lower on the glycemic index, but any other kind will work too)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cucumber
Instructions
  1. Now all you need to do is run each ingredient through the juicer and voila! You have a wonderful summer drink.
