Healthy Juices To Effectively Melt Kidney Stones
By Kat Gal
I remember one summer as a kid when our camp counselor was complaining about kidney stones. She wasn’t just complaining, she was in severe pain. This was when I learned – though gratefully not first hand – that kidney stones are not fun.
Symptoms of kidney stones include:
- Severe pain in the side, back, or below the ribs
- Pain in the abdomen and groin
- Nausea or vomiting
- Fever and chills
- Constant need to urinate
- Pain when urinating
- Urinating only a small amount
Note that if your symptoms are severe, you should contact your doctor. However, there are some natural remedies you can also try.
There are some juices that may actually have the power to MELT kidney stones away.
Watermelon is not only a diuretic, but also a powerful natural remedy for kidney stones. It is loaded with potassium, among other benefits, which is incredibly healthy for your kidneys. Watermelon juice also regulates your urine’s acid levels. Drinking it daily can help you melt those kidney stones quickly.
|How to juice watermelon? You can just run your watermelon through your juicer, but it is even better to blend watermelon chunks in your blender then strain the juice into a bowl.
Pomegranate juice and pomegranate seeds are potent, natural medicine for kidney stones. Pomegranates are not the cheapest, but besides melting away kidney stones, they are full of antioxidants and your body will thank you if you eat or drink them.

You can also buy a pomegranate and citrus juice press – they are really cool, I used them daily when I was living in Turkey and Mexico. But even if you just eat pomegranates, you can benefit from the juice easily, as the seeds are basically juice around a tiny seed.
Lemon juice is an amazing natural, alkalizing and mending remedy for just about anything. This is why we love it. No surprise that it is also effective in treating kidney stones.
|How to juice lemon? Slice your lemon then juice it using your handheld lemon press, manual or electric lemon juicer, or even squeezing it with your hand. Mix the juice of 2 – 4 lemons with 32 oz of water. Alternatively, you may want to use 2 oz of lemon juice extract with 32 oz of water. If you drink lemon juice in the morning and at night, your kidneys will be happy for sure.
Besides drinking these amazing juices for kidney stones, don’t forget about your green juices for overall health.
Love juicing, but don’t have time for it? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Check out our Organifi Green Juice Powder. It is awesome – it actually tastes yummy, unlike most other funky, ‘green tasting’ juice powders I’ve tried in the past. You can get it in our store (along with other good stuff, like our Biotic Balance Probiotics).
