Today, I am going to share with you WHY this incredibly tasty treat should absolutely be kept in your diet! In fact, it’s something that I eat every single day… and you should too!

This absolutely delicious treat is loaded with amazing nutrients and a ton of benefits.

When I was a kid, my mom used to make this amazing chocolate dessert and I could NOT get enough of it. That’s probably why I used to be a FAT CANOLE and not the healthy, lean version of myself I am now.

This dessert was full of awesomeness and no doubt, a TON of sugar, wheat and dairy. I didn’t know any better at the time, but I was literally FUELING disease and creating massive imbalance in my body.

Perhaps you are doing the same thing right now and you didn’t even know it.

Chocolate is delicious and can actually be very nutritious as well – but it’s not all created equal and THAT is where so many people get stuck!

The Facts About Chocolate

NEWSFLASH – Chocolate is actually GOOD for you – the right kind in moderation continues to show incredible benefits to attaining and maintaining that HEALTHY, SEXY body that I KNOW you’re working SO HARD to achieve!

Studies continue to show that dark chocolate (not the sugary crap) provides A TON of powerful benefits!

Some of the benefits of chocolate include…


Improves Mood, Lowers Stress

When you eat chocolate, you naturally feel happy, right?

Did you know that chocolate has been shown to actually raise serotonin levels (the happy hormone) within the brain?

A study performed by scientists in Switzerland determined that the chemical compounds found in dark chocolate play a key role in improving stress levels.

According to the study, eating about one and a half ounces of dark chocolate daily for two weeks can actually reduce stress hormones.

Rich In Antioxidants and Nutrients

This tantalizing treat is rich in Fiber, Iron, Magnesium, Copper, Manganese and a few other minerals.

Lowers Cholesterol

A study published in The Journal Of Nutrition found that consuming chocolate daily was linked to better cardiovascular health, lowered cholesterol improved blood pressure.

Prevents Cognitive Decline

Chocolate improves brain power!

A study conducted at the University of Nottingham determined that consuming dark chocolate can boost the blood flow to the brain for up to three hours.

And it improves short-term memory and alertness for short periods of time. Cocoa can also help to improve concentration, response time and memory recall.

Now THAT is some serious BRAIN FOOD!


Improves Skin Health

Studies show that the flavanols from cocoa can improve blood flow to the skin and protect it against sun-induced damage. So CHOCOLATE can actually IMPROVE your appearance!

Increase Energy, Weight Loss

The polyphenols found in high-cocoa chocolate can increase your energy levels by increasing the number of energy producing mitochondria in your muscles.

With increased energy levels, you end up moving more – which means you’re burning more calories in the process.

A recent study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine showed that frequent chocolate consumption was associated with lower body mass index (BMI).

The authors used data from 972 patients who answered the question, “How many times a week do you consume chocolate?” Their data indicated that chocolate consumption frequency was associated with lower BMI, even after adjusting for total calorie intake, exercise activity and saturated fat intake.

The researchers believe the benefits are related to the antioxidant flavonoids in chocolate.

Of course, moderate consumption is KEY here – consuming large quantities of chocolate would obviously be counterproductive to losing weight.

Choosing The Right Chocolate

Here are 4 things to consider when indulging in this amazing treat:

Pichunter-bigstock-Stack-Of-Dark-Chocolate-Pieces-25953668-300x4481. For the biggest flavonoid bang for your caloric buck, choose high-quality dark chocolate. Limit daily intake to 1-2 ounces. The darker, the better. I always buy at least 75% cacao and you should too!

2. Unsweetened dark cocoa powder is great for you, because it has no fat or sugar and it’s high in antioxidants.

3. Avoid chocolate candies and treats made with hydrogenated fats or refined flour, neither of which promotes health – OR that sexy body you crave. Ain’t NOBODY got time for that CRAP!

4. Pass on products labeled “artificial chocolate” or “chocolate flavored.” These imitations are not even close to the real thing in flavor, texture or health benefits. They’re loaded with junk and wreak havoc on that smokin’ hot body! Don’t even think about it… it’s SOOOOOO not worth it.

In the right form, chocolate is a true superfood.

Of all the foods available on planet Earth, chocolate is perhaps the most magical and maybe one of the best health foods around.

It’s DEFINITELY one of the most delicious.

Try this incredibly mouth-watering chocolate mousse the next time you’re craving something sweet and satisfying… it’s totally guilt-free and so good!

I guarantee you won’t miss that imitation garbage you’ve been digging into on occasion (or maybe daily) when you can have THIS and you can still LOSE weight in the process.

Of course, that goes along with a whole foods diet and healthy lifestyle.

Coconut Milk Chocolate Mousse
  • 1 can coconut milk, preferably organic and free from additives/emulsifiers
  • 2-3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey or pinch of stevia, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • few tablespoons sprouted nuts, chopped (optional)
  1. Place coconut milk in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight so that the cream (the fatty delicious part) hardens, separates and rises to the top.
  2. Open the can and scoop out this hardened cream, placing it in a large glass or stainless steel mixing bowl. You won't need the remaining liquid at the bottom of the can for now, but don't forget to save it for use in other recipes.
  3. Using a handheld mixer on low speed, slowly start to whip the coconut cream (using the same techniques you would for regular dairy cream).
  4. Add cocoa, honey and vanilla extract and gradual work to a higher speed until ingredients are well combined and you have incorporated enough air for desired texture.
  5. Top with your favorite variety of chopped nuts for a bit of added crunch, or a handful of fresh berries and serve immediately.
  6. Mousse will also keep well in the refrigerator for several days.
