Guyabano (Soursop) As Anti-Cancer, Anti-UTI, Anti-Anemia, Anti-Constipation And Anti-Infection Agent!

Have you heard of guyabano?

I hadn’t either.

Though it may be a little shy, guyabano (AKA soursop) has a lot to offer your body and your health!

Guyabano is a tropical fruit that is known to grow in places such as the Philippines and South America. It grows on the graviola tree. Throughout history, each part of the graviola tree (the bark, leaves, roots, seeds and fruit) have been used for natural medicinal purposes. The fruit really doesn’t fall too far from the tree in this case (which is a great thing).

The fruit’s flesh is filled with vitamins and nutrients that give it its powerful remedying properties. Regularly including this fruit in your diet can do a number of remarkable things for your health.

Top 5 Benefits Of Guyabano

#1. Prevents Cancer

Though research and studies on this fruit have been few, there have been scientists who have discovered its powerful remedying and preventative abilities, especially in regards to cancer. It has also shown promise in helping reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and cancer treatments.

#2. Protects Against UTIs

Because of this fruit’s high vitamin C content, it can potentially help prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs). It does this by increasing the amount of acidity in your urine, which helps kill off the bacteria that could infect your urinary tract. Vitamin C also helps boost your immune system, reinforcing your ability to combat foreign invaders in your body.

#3. Remedies Constipation

If constipation or other digestive issues and diseases are a problem for you, consuming guyabano can help remedy them. Because it is rich in fiber and helps reduce your need for laxatives, guyabano helps your digestion stay happy and can ultimately help boost your weight loss efforts.

#4. Helps Reduce Anemia

Guyabano is an excellent, not commonly known source of iron. Keeping good sources of iron in your diet helps make it much easier for your body to fight off blood-related diseases, such as anemia.

#5. Combats Infections

Since guyabano has a strong ability to boost your immune system, any free radicals hoping to wreak havoc in your body don’t stand a chance. You can even use the leaves of the guyabano’s tree to help remedy skin infections such as acne, or even help with scarring and inflammation.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always down to try some new powerful foods in my diet, shake things up a little. For a few ideas for how to handle guyabano (soursop) and how you can eat it, both as a dessert and healthy treat, check out the instructions and tips HERE.
