Ginseng: Next Herb You Need On Your Remedy List

Written by: Brandi Monasco

Herbal medicines have long played their role in the lives of humans both western and eastern. There are many remedies of herbal origin that have been handed down for centuries. However, science has only recently uncovered proof for the actual existence of these benefits.

Of the many herbals put under scrutiny, one is Ginseng, an all-time favorite root with a variety of benefits that has made it popular throughout the world of herbal cures.

What are the uses of ginseng that make it so important?

Ginseng is basically a root belonging to a family with the name Panax that literally means ‘all heal.’ Its qualities and benefits are as old as the very ancestors who discovered it.

There are 11 species of ginseng, each with a distinct function that makes that species special and unique. The plant takes quite long to grow; the American type of ginseng takes as long as 6 years to be ready for use, which can make this type of ginseng hard to find.

The ginseng plant has a high role in helping lung function. It fights against bacteria in the lungs to reduce infections. The ginseng plant contains many medicinal chemicals which help your body in clearing the harmful organisms to ensure the maintenance of good health. In addition, it also inhibits the growth of many viruses, thereby enhancing your resistance to the many viral infections circulating around.

Another role of the ginseng is that it is ideal for diabetics. Ginseng helps to control blood sugar levels. It can help to lower blood sugar level in type 2 diabetics to the extent of even reversing the disease.

The role which perhaps may be the most important benefit is its potential to prevent cancer. The root contains powerful anti cancer properties that function to activate your body’s own defense against the horrific disease, helping to prevent any cancerous development to begin with. Even if you have had the misfortune to actually have the disease, ginseng enables your body to fight against it, helping slow the tumor growth by many folds.

Ginseng has clearly earned its name in the world of herbal medicine. Having roles in such aspects as weight loss, improving brain function for greater intelligence, supporting better emotional stability and even providing a hand in aiding sexual dysfunction in men makes ginseng an amazing root.

Ginseng is a pretty common root and is easy to find. You can find tablets or capsule supplements at your local pharmacy or health food store. You can also find a whole root or powdered root at health food store in your area.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
