Beautiful, glowing skin is always your best accessory, especially come spring when a healthy glow is a must-have for the season. Good skin starts within, so I encourage you to stock up on colourful, whole, plant based foods and healthy fats to bring out your gorgeous inner-glow.

  • Drink 1 Large Glowing Skin Smoothie A Day: Packed with beautifying properties to help renew, refresh and repair  for glowing skin, the recipes I’ve listed below will help make you glow from the inside out.
  • Stock Up On Salmon, Walnuts, Coconut Oil, Fish Oils, Flax And Chia Seeds: These seemingly unrelated foods all deliver essential fatty acids and thus are key foods for healthy skin. Essential fatty acids are responsible for healthy cell membranes, which are not only what act as barriers to harmful toxins and bacteria, but also as the passageways for nutrients to cross in and out and for waste products to get in and out of the cells. Because it is the cell membrane that also holds water in, the stronger that barrier is, the better your cells can hold moisture. And that means plumper, younger looking skin.
  • Add Chlorella To Your Juice And Smoothies: This Superfood should be named “super skin” food. It is amazing for clear and radiant skin, it renews cells and cleanses your liver and digestion. Clear gut means clear skin, so stock up.
  • Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Drink 7-8 glasses of hydrating liquids a day like herbal teas and filtered or fruit infused water. Hydrating liquids keep your skin soft, supple and smooth. Try adding cucumbers, lemons and limes to your water for extra cleansing and hydrating properties.
  • Consume More Vitamin C Rich Foods Such As Oranges, Red Peppers, Goji Berries And Kiwis: Vitamin C is packed with antioxidants and your skin will feel and look healthier with a radiant, firmer and more luminous complexion.

Ingredients
  • Handful of kale
  • Handful of spinach
  • Small bunch of parsley
  • 2 celery stalks
  • ½ cucumber
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 juice of lemon
  • 1 tbsp of chlorella or Organifi Green Powder Drink
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend together until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!Prepare everything, add to your blender/juicer and drink to your health!
