Fall Beauty Recipes Using Essential Oils

Written by: Brandi Monasco

Fall is my favorite time of the year and that’s because it’s loaded with all of these yummy scents like pumpkin, gingerbread and cider. There’s just something about those scents and the feeling of sweater weather!

With essential oils, you can make these scents all year round by using a few simple recipes. Essential oils are a great way to make your home smell warm and inviting without the use of those harmful chemical-laden store bought products. They can also be added into body butters, sugar scrubs and even more and do wonders for your body.

Easy Fall Essential Oil Recipes

Holiday Scented Blends

  • Snickerdoodle: cinnamon and vanilla
  • Gingerbread: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove
  • Mulled cider: cinnamon, orange, clove, nutmeg
  • Warm chai: cardamom, cinnamon, clove, ginger
  • Pumpkin pie: cinnamon, clove, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg
  • Autumn wreath: white fir, juniper berry, clary sage

Pumpkin Pie Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup carrier oil of your choice
  • 2 drops cinnamon essential oil
  • 2 drops clove essential oil
  • 2 drops ginger essential oil
  • 2 drops cardamom essential oil
  • 2 drops nutmeg essential oil

Instructions: Simply mix all of the ingredients together.

To Use:

1. Wet your skin.

2. Scoop out with clean spoon. Make sure that you do not get water into the container.

3. Apply a generous amount of sugar scrub to wet skin.

4. Massage sugar scrub into skin using a circular motion. This helps to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells.

5. Rinse well.

6. Pat your skin dry.

Warm Chai Lip Balm

  • 2 teaspoons beeswax
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cocoa butter
  • 5 teaspoons fractionated coconut oil
  • 4 drops vitamin E
  • ¼ teaspoon honey
  • ⅛  teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 drops cardamom
  • 3 drops cinnamon
  • 3 drops ginger
  • 3 drops clove

1. Using a double broiler, melt the beeswax, cocoa butter and the fractionated coconut oil until it turns into liquid. Mix the mixture with a wooden craft stick while melting.

2. Remove from the heat once the mixture is liquid.

3. Add the remaining ingredients to the liquid.

4. Stir together and pour into lip balm tubes.

Mulled Cider Lip Scrub

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 drops orange essential oil
  • 1 drop cinnamon essential oil
  • 1 drop clove essential oil

Instructions: Mix all of these ingredients together.

To Use:

1. Massage a small amount of the scrub (the size of half a pea) into your lips.

2. Use small circular motions.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
