Essential Oil Uses for Your Skin And Beauty

Written by: Brandi Monasco

Essential oils are a household staple in many homes. They have numerous benefits and smell amazing. While there are many benefits for diffusing essential oils, many people are unaware of the potential beauty uses that essential oils have, which are unlimited!

Here are a few ways that you can use your essential oils to help enhance your beauty regimen:

1. Strengthen Your Nails

Mix 10 drops of frankincense, lemon and myrrh mixed with 2 tablespoons of vitamin E oil. Rub the mixture onto your cuticles.

2. Reduce Cellulite

Mix 5 drops of grapefruit essential oil with 2 teaspoons of coconut oil. Massage the mixture into your dimpled areas.

3. Reduce Your Wrinkles

Mix 3 to 5 drops of geranium, sandalwood, lavender and frankincense oils with your favorite unscented lotion. Apply the mixture to your face, but avoid applying around your eyes.

4. Create Your Own Natural Perfume

You can simply use 1 to 2 drops of jasmine or your favorite essential oil on your wrist.

5. Acne Face Wash

If you suffer from acne, get rid of it by making a homemade face wash. Mix tea tree oil with raw honey and rub it on your face. Rinse the mixture off with warm water.

6. Whiten Your Teeth

Mix lemon essential oil, coconut oil and fresh strawberries. Rub the mixture on your teeth then rinse your mouth after 2 minutes.

7. Make Your Own Homemade Shampoo

Mix lavender oil, rosemary oil, aloe vera gel and coconut milk. Use this mixture as you would regular shampoo.

8. Facial Scrub

Mix ¼ cup of yogurt, ¼ cup or cornmeal, 5 drops of patchouli, grapefruit and lavender oil. Apply the mixture to your face and then wash off with warm water.

9. Reduce Stretch Marks

Simply mix 5 drops of myrrh, frankincense and grapefruit oil with coconut oil. Apply the mixture to your stretch marks.

10. Natural Skin Toner

Mix 8 ounces of water with 2 drops of lavender, geranium and frankincense. Apply to your face.

11. Sugar Scrub

Mix a few drops of your favorite essential oil with almond oil and sugar.

When you decide to purchase essential oils, it is always important to keep in mind that not all essential oils are created equal. There are many oils that are completely worthless and are synthetic, having no benefits to your health whatsoever.

When you purchase essential oils, you will also want to make sure that the oil is of a certified pure therapeutic grade.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
