How To Make Vegan Mozzarella Cheese
 
 
Ingredients
  • ¾ cup raw cashews
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp + ¾ tsp granulated onion
  • 1 ⅛ tsp sea salt
  • ¾ tsp granulated garlic (NOT fresh)
  • ⅛ tsp dried basil
  • 2 tbsp + 1 ¼ tsp agar powder
  • 1 ⅞ cup water, divided
  • 1 tsp tahini (optional for additional flavor)
Instructions
  1. Place ALL ingredients in a blender (minus 1 ¼ cups water and agar).
  2. Process on high speed until smooth.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the blender and blend again until everything is well combined and creamy.
  4. In a saucepan, add 1 ¼ cup water and agar.
  5. Heat over medium high until boiling. Stir occasionally.
  6. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 minute and then remove from heat.
  7. Add the agar/water mixture to the blender (scrape the pan to ensure ALL of the mixture goes in).
  8. Blend until smooth.
  9. Pour the mixture into an oiled glass container, cover and place in the refrigerator until set (about 4 hours).
