Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

  • 4 (6 ounce) mahi mahi fillets
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp tamari sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger root
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed or to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Stir the balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger and tamari together in a shallow glass dish. Using salt and pepper, season the fish fillets and place them in the dish (if the fillets have skin, place the skin side down). Refrigerate for 20 minutes to let marinate.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Remove the fillets from dish and keep the marinade. Cook for 4-6 minutes on each side, turning once. The fillets will flake easily with a fork when done. Remove from skillet and place on platter.
  3. Pour the remaining marinade in the skillet and heat over medium heat until glazed. Spoon the glaze on the fish and then serve.
