I have a deep and profound concern and care for my colon.

That statement may sound strange to you (and it certainly would have for me a year ago). Who walks around thinking about their colon? I certainly didn’t!

Up until now.

Over a year ago, my father was diagnosed with colon cancer. Suddenly, my colon became a real “thing” and not just something I learned about in Human Biology all those years ago.

Naturally, when something is brought to your attention, you start seeing and hearing about it everywhere!

Therefore, when I saw “coffee, colon and cancer-free” all in the same sentence, it grabbed my attention.

A recent study has shown that drinking a cup of joe can be beneficial for people who have been diagnosed with colon cancer.

The Study – What Was Discovered

Researchers at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center in Boston did a study of 1,000 colon cancer patients. Here are their results:

  • 42% of patients who drank 4 or more cups of coffee have reduced chances of the cancer returning (this equates to approximately 460 mg of caffeine)
  • 33% of patients are less likely to die from cancer or other causes
  • Coffee consumers have 52% lower chance of cancer relapse than non-coffee drinkers
  • Drinking less than 4 cups has “modest benefits”
  • Drink only 1 cup of coffee has little benefit

The Benefits – Why Drink Coffee

  • Coffee has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties
  • Caffeine in coffee inhibits colon cancer cell growth
  • Coffee reduces stress
  • Improves your circulation

  • And so much more!

Drink Up – How To Reduce Your Risk

Over 500 studies have evaluated the potential link between drinking coffee and your risk of developing cancer. Some studies have concluded that drinking coffee may be linked with a lower risk of developing cancer.

The reason?

Caffeine! Caffeine is king in regards to what makes coffee combat colon cancer and other cancers (in other words, drinking decaffeinated coffee won’t do you any good).

While these studies still present gaps in research and findings (and further research is needed before making a firm conclusion), they do conclude that higher caffeine consumption may be associated with significantly lower cancer recurrence or death in people diagnosed with colon cancer.

What Our Clients Say*

During my FitLife transformation, I lost 70 pounds! That's why I signed up for the protocol, but the most exciting result is that I found ME in the process. I had been hiding under a pile of pounds, self-doubt, and grief! FitLife changed my life and I knew I had to share it with others.

-Lynne, Longwood FL

I started with Fitlife back in 2011-2012…I wrote into Fitlife asking for an extreme amount of help. I was 300 pounds, with high cholesterol, and Drew helped me transform my life. I lost over 130 pounds and I no longer have high cholesterol. Not only did I lose weight, so did my husband, who lost over 70 pounds!
