How To Make Healing & Detoxing TURMERIC Broth

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 4 cups organic vegetable stock
  • 3 tsp fresh turmeric, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • Pinch of cayenne, or to taste
  • 2 tsp raw apple cider vinegar, or to taste

 

Instructions:

1. In a large pot (or dutch oven) over medium heat, saute the onion in olive oil for  3 minutes.

      • Add ginger. Saute and stir for 5 minutes on medium-low heat.
      • Add garlic. Saute 2 minutes.
      • Add all the other spices and stir and saute for 1 minute.
      • Add water, vegetable stock, vinegar and salt and bring to a simmer.

 

2. Taste the stock and adjust the flavors as desired (add more salt, spices, or vinegar as needed).

There ya have it! Your detoxing TURMERIC broth is ready. This base can be used as a  starter for various soups, stews, or simply sip it warm as a cleansing and light lunch.

To make a delicious soup, simply add your favorite veggies and simmer until cooked. For a more filling meal, add organic rice, beans, or sweet potatoes to create a yummy stew. Here are a few flavor combinations to get you started:

  • Chickpeas, kale, cauliflower, quinoa noodles
  • Carrots, celery, fennel, tomato, rice
  • Rice noodles, sprouts, cilantro
