Delicious Herb-Infused Compound Butter Recipe

I love cooking.

Well… let me re-phrase that – I like cooking for myself.

When it comes to cooking for others, I always want to “reach for the moon,” but I usually end up crashing into the stars as I plummet back down to earth.

Can you relate? You want to impress others with your culinary skills, but usually can barely squeak by with creating something that is edible (and far from impressive).

However, there are certain elements of a meal that you can easily upgrade that will not only infuse flavors into the dish, but will also add a decadent and creative flair to any dish.

One of those items is Herb-Infused Compound Butter.

It’s creamy. It’s  buttery. It’s OH-SO-delightful.

Benefits Of Herb-Infused Compound Butter

Grass-Fed Butter
  • Loaded with butyrate, an anti-inflammatory fatty acid

Herb-Infused Compound Butter
 
Ingredients
  • 1 stick of grass-fed butter (about ½ cup)
  • soften to room temperature
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil leaves (chop finely)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chop finely)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives (chop finely)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced finely)
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into a bowl and use a fork to mix.
  2. All herbs should be evenly mixed throughout butter.
  3. Place the butter mixture on a piece of parchment or wax paper and form it into a roll (or you can use your hands to make a ball if desired).
  4. Place the butter into the fridge for 4 hours (or overnight).

This butter can be served with meats, breads, vegetables, or anything you want to add a delicious taste too!

You can also personalize this butter by making a variation, such as:

  • 3 tablespoon fresh minced dill  weed + 1 tablespoon orange zest (great for fish)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced mint + 1 tablespoon lemon zest (great on lamb)
  • 3 tablespoons minced toasted pecans + 2 tablespoons honey
  • Zest of 1 lemon + zest of 1 lime (great for fish) 

You can be as creative as you want to be by adding your favorite flavors to make your own compound butter.

Your dinner guests will surely be impressed with this upgraded and tasty butter!
