Create Your Own Face Serum Using Essential Oils

Written by: Brandi Monasco

Your skin is one of the first things that people see when they take that first look at you. It is important to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy, not just for appearance sake, but because moisturized skin is healthy skin!

Your skin comes into contact with free radicals on a daily basis that come from chemicals, pollution and even the creams you put on your skin. These free radicals can cause some serious damage to your skin and can make your skin dry out and start to wrinkle.

No matter what your age is or what type of skin you have, it is always a good idea to make sure that your face is properly hydrated and moisturized in order to keep it in tip-top shape and looking healthy!

If you are tired of using store-bought products that can oftentimes contain chemicals that can harm your skin, here is a wonderful face serum made with essential oils.

To make the serum:

1. Add 2 ounces of carrier oil to a glass bottle.

2. Add 20 drops of essential oil to the carrier oil.

3. Place the lid on the bottle and gently roll the bottle in the palm of your hand for about 30 seconds. This helps to mix the carrier oil with the essential oils.

How to use the serum:

1. Cleanse your face.

2. Apply just a drop of the serum to your forehead, cheeks and chin.

3. Gently massage the serum into your skin using soft, upward strokes.
